The Waiting is the Hardest Part 11/12/06

Here is Patti and her little man, Brady.

He loves his mommy, can't you tell?

***********************************************

In the email that I got from Patti tonight with the above picture, Patti explained to me that the waiting is the hardest part. Sometimes she feels like this is never going to happen. All she wants is for it to be done and she gets well enough to go back home with her husband and baby (who doesn't seem much like a baby anymore). She enjoys her moments with him so much and can't wait for it to be all the time!

We are still looking for "stand-by" people who are willing to go out for a week at a time (or even a few days) up until Patti has the surgery. This week, Patti's high school French teacher is giong to go stay with her. The only expenses anyone would have to be there with her is your own food and drink. The room that you would be staying in is being paid for by Patti's mother and father-in-law (Dale and Gina). That is their contribution to the benefit fund, in addition to helping to handle the money and making sure the bills that need to be paid out of it are paid. Thank you, Dale and Gina. What a great help!

After Patti get's her transplants (soon, God. Please, God let it be soon), the room will be used by Dale and Gina so that they can be there with Patti too.

What do we need now? Well, what does Patti need now?

1. More prayers!

2. Companions. She is so afraid of being caught out there alone when the call comes in that says they have organs for her. If there isn't anyone right there with her, she will end up going into surgery alone. If there is anyone out there that would like to go stay with Patti (even if you don't know her well, but you are just willing to sit with her for a little while every day and be there for her), please email me princepack@frontiernet.net or Patti's aunt Sally sai3@cornell.edu

3. More prayers! Look at that picture at the top of this web page! Even in the state that she is in, she finds the will in her heart to be happy with her Brady. Keep praying.
