Patti is recovering AMAZINGLY!!!

Patti has been awake and she is recovering amazingly, of course!

Hubby, Nathanial went in to see her first when she started waking up.

Mommy, Joan and Aunt Sally went in next and she HAD to aks them a question even though shc can't talk and she is still pretty heavily sedated, so the nurse got pen and paper for her. She wanted to know if the donor was male of female and we don't know the answer to that yet.

Then the in-laws went in to see her (Dale and Gina).

And, yes, they took Brady in to see his mommy and although he won't remember it, I am sure THAT did a LOT of good for Patti.

As I type, I believe siblings (Harlan, and Barb) are going in to see her.

The nurses are amazed at how fast she is recovering already!

Praise God, praise God, PRAISE GOD!!!

Thank you all PUSHers.

HAPPY RE-BIRTHDAY PATTI 1/31/07

We have a complete Patti! She has new lungs and liver! Surgery started on 1/30/07 and the surgeons were closing her up at about 6:30 am on 1/31/07.

HAPPY REBIRTHDAY PATTI!

Please continue your prayers for a wonderful recovery and pray for the donor's family. All we know is that the donor was 23 years old. Organs matched almost perfectly and surgery only took 9 1/2 hours.

Praise God in all of his infinite wisdom!

Back in Cleveland 1/27/07

Patti was flown back to Cleveland on January 27, 2007. She will be reassessed and I will post updates as soon as I get them.

For now... She had 2 embilizations last week to stop the bleeding in her lungs in Syracuse before she was flown back to Cleveland.

When she is reassessed we are pretty sure she will be raised on the national list, but we don't know by how much or if the situation will change. There has been talk of just doing the double lung transplant and removing her from the liver list. It is possible that by being on the liver list she is being prevented from getting the lungs, but we don't know all of this for sure it is just speculation.

Keep PUSHing (Pray Until Something Happens).

January PUSH (Pray Unitl Something Happens)

This morning at 5:15 am (1/22/07) Nathanial took Patti back to the hosiptial in Syracuse because she was coughing up a LOT of blood again.

Saturday (1/20/07) she had been running a feever but since she was supposed to leave for Cleveland today for doctor's appointments tomorrow, and she was feeling a bit better yesterday, she was going to try to hold out and make the trip out to Cleveland by car. That didn't work.

I'm sure she will be making the trip back to Cleveland, but I'm pretty sure it won't be by car.

Joan, Patti's mom, is taking care of Brady at this moment at home.
